The involvement of 157 co-exhibitors will be on display at Hannover Messe 2023, the largest industrial technology exhibition in the world, that are prepared by the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin). Furthermore, according to Kemenperin, Co-exhibitors will have the chance to collaborate and cooperate with one another at this event.

 

Therefore,  Technical Meeting for Co-Exhibitors was convened to facilitate this event and to enhance Indonesia’s involvement as the Official Country Partner.

 

Eko SA Cahyanto, Director General of Industrial Resilience, Regions and International Access (KPAII) at the Ministry of Industry, stated in an official press release that the Indonesian government, particularly the Ministry of Industry, had completed a number of stages, including coordination between Ministries/Agencies in the framework of this grand event.

 

On April 16, 2023, the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC) host the opening ceremony for the Hannover Messe 2023 series of events. In addition, the Indonesian Pavilion will debut on April 17th, 2023, which the Indonesian President Joko Widodo and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will attend. In addition, the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the Chairman and President & Chief Executive Officer of Siemens will attend the Business Summit, a series of special events held between Germany and Indonesia.

 

The Business Summit activity is followed by the signing of an MoU between the two countries. The Country Night event will take place in the evening and include a Live Cultural Performance with a variety of performances, as well as present authentic Indonesian cuisines for the attendees.

 

Both Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita and Dr. Jochen Köckler, CEO of Deutsche Messe AG, will be present at the occasion. The Indonesian Pavilion will showcase six conference themes between April 18 and 20, 2023, including “Strengthening Manufacturing Ecosystem by Accelerating Industry 4.0,” “Investing in The New National Capital City,” and “Investing in The Manufacturing Sector.” The “Electric Vehicle Ecosystem,” “Sustainability & Carbon Neutrality,” and “Investing Human Capital for Industrial Competitiveness” are other topics. These series of conferences presented speakers from industry and the Indonesian government.

 

According to the press release from the Ministry of Industry, a number of cooperation agreements need to be signed for the participation in the Hannover Messe 2023 event. The plan is that there will be 13 possible collaborations that are prepared to be established. The 13 prospective partnerships include the fields of digitization, development and construction of sensor- and artificial intelligence-based food sorting industries, waste treatment technology, solar panel energy, and investment in medical devices.

Eko stated that the participation of Indonesian industrial players in the Hannover Messe 2023 had a significant impact, as quoted from the press release at the Hannover Messe 2023 Participation Co-Exhibitor Technical Meeting II. The co-exhibitor will hopefully make the most of the momentum of Indonesia’s status as a Partner Country at the Hannover Messe 2023.

 

As part of the exhibition, the Indonesian Pavilion is divided into a number of areas based on the Highlight Theme Indonesia Partner Country, namely zone A for sustainability and energy, zone B as the main zone for Making Indonesia 4.0, engineered parts and solutions, while zone C for participating state-owned companies . Furthermore, zone D is for investment/Industrial Estates and human capital, while the HM zone is for startups and innovation, as well as HM Display Categories, which include  engineered parts and solutions, digital ecosystem and global business/market.

 

The presence of the Indonesian Pavilion at Hannover Messe will offer potential investors the chance to learn about new investment prospects and the newest trends and advances in the Indonesian industrial sector. Since the beginning of the Industry 4.0 revolution, Indonesia has had a great opportunity to focus on encouraging the domestic industrial sector to be competitive on a global scale, especially through cooperation in the fields of investment, technology and human resources (HR).
