KODC Dengue

KODC DENGUE is an early and quick kit in vitro diagnostic, used for the infection of dengue virus (DENV). Developed by PT Konimex using the patent license from FKUI's Microbiology Department and IMERI. KODC DENGUE's detection system is based on the detection of NS-1 DENV protein, developed using antibodies that has been inducted with Indonesian DENV strain. This device has been expected to detect the DENV virus has been spread all over Indonesia. It has several distinct advantages: First, it is fast and only needs around 15 minutes to determine whether there is a DENV infection. Second, it is sensitive due to its basic from Indonesia's very own DENV strain. Third, it is specific because it is developed from DENV epitope that does not cross react with other viruses. Fourth, relatively cheap due to it being internally produced, and can detect DENV infection from various types of specimens including plasma, serum, and whole blood. KODC DENGUE has the potential to be used by the entire population of tropical regions with the risk of dengue infection.
