The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia is under and responsible to the President and assists the President in carrying out government affairs in the tourism sector, and government duties in the creative economy, as part of national development goals. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy since December 23, 2020 has been led by Sandiaga Uno. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has a vision to make Indonesia a world-class tourism destination. For this reason, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has a mission to develop world-class tourism destinations and conduct tourism-oriented marketing. In addition, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also focuses on developing the environment and capacity of the highly competitive tourism industry in Indonesia. While in the creative economy sector, which is said to be the backbone of the country, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has the task of synergizing cooperation between inventors and investors. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also strengthens the ability of the creative industry to compete with imported creative economy products, as well as promoting various types of Indonesian creative economy products, so as to encourage the growth of other creative economic actors who can support the regional and national economy.
